LSU Stages Impressive Comeback to Beat Missouri Tigers in Men’s Basketball Showdown

Missouri started off strongly in the first half, taking the lead and carrying a 35-29 advantage into halftime. However, LSU came out firing in the second half, embarking on an incredible 26-4 run that saw them make nine of their next 10 field goals. With five turnovers by Missouri during this stretch, LSU surged ahead by 15 points, ultimately extending their lead to 21 points with just over four minutes remaining.

Nevertheless, Missouri fought back with an 11-0 run, narrowing LSU’s lead to just 11 points with over 90 seconds left in the game. The Tigers continued to push hard, pulling as close as three points on two occasions. However, LSU managed to maintain their lead and secure the win with some crucial free throw conversions.

In terms of shooting percentages, Missouri made 47.5 percent of their baskets, while LSU converted 45.6 percent of their shots. Notably, LSU improved dramatically in the second half, shooting an impressive 50.0 percent and making 19 free throws.

Looking ahead, the Tigers will be focusing on postseason play as they prepare to open the SEC Tournament on Wednesday night against Georgia at approximately 8:30 p.m. The game will be televised on SEC Network, and fans can expect an exciting matchup as the Tigers strive to make their mark in the upcoming tournament.
