The 2023-24 all-state girls basketball teams have been announced by CHSAANow.com and MaxPreps after a meticulous and rigorous selection process. Nominations from leagues were carefully considered, followed by a comprehensive voting process among coaches to ascertain the deserving players and coaches. In Class 6A, the Player of the Year accolade was awarded to Quinn Vansickle of Valor Christian, while Jessika Caldwell, also of Valor Christian, was named Coach of the Year.
Transitioning to the Class 5A division, Kyla Hollier of Roosevelt earned the title of Player of the Year, with Sydney Price of Northfield receiving Coach of the Year honors.
Moving on to Class 4A, Brihanna Crittendon of Riverdale Ridge was distinguished as the Player of the Year, and Tim Jones, also from Riverdale Ridge, was recognised as Coach of the Year.
In the Class 3A category, Grace Minihane of Colorado Springs Christian was named Player of the Year, and Mark Engesser, also of Colorado Springs Christian, received the Coach of the Year award.
With regard to Class 2A, Kya Piel of Merino was honoured as the Player of the Year, and Daniel Piel, also from Merino, emerged as Coach of the Year.
Finally, in Class 1A, Jenna Krise of Briggsdale was named Player of the Year, with Colin Nicklas, also from Briggsdale, being acknowledged as Coach of the Year.
The selection process also resulted in the emergence of notable players and coaches in the First and Second Teams, as well as a substantial list of Honorable Mentions from each division. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication to the sport of basketball, and their contributions to their respective teams and the wider basketball community are truly commendable.
