The latest round of Bermuda ball hockey action at the PCC Hockey Rink delivered an electrifying doubleheader, resulting in a combined total of 25 goals scored throughout the evening.
In the initial game, CG emerged victorious over Positive Image Dental with a final score of 8 – 6. The triumphant team was propelled by an exceptional performance from Jeremy Estey, who netted 5 goals. John Duda contributed 2 goals, and Chris Cairns added the other goal for CG. Conversely, Matt Mcphail and Shane Matchett each scored twice for Positive Image Dental, while Jeoffrey Chisnell and David Campbell also made a goal each.
The night’s second match witnessed Appleby securing a narrow 6-5 victory over BDA Spirits. In a tense encounter, neither team managed to score in the opening period. Following the second period, Appleby claimed a 2-1 lead, setting the stage for an intense finale. The third period saw both teams scoring 4 goals each, but ultimately, Appleby clung on for the win.
Shannon Gosse was the standout performer for Appleby, scoring four goals, while Kyle Harvey and Ryan Marshall contributed a goal each. JM Trembley displayed an admirable effort for BDA Spirits, achieving a hat-trick, with Nathan Ische and Adam Mattatall also adding to their team’s total.
