Disappointment for NU Men’s Basketball in NCAA Tournament

Report for America Reporter/Producer for Nebraska Public Media, Aaron Bonderson, delivered news of the Nebraska men’s basketball team experiencing a formidable defeat in the NCAA tournament on Friday evening. Regrettably, the Huskers were unable to secure a triumph, thereby establishing themselves as the sole major conference team unable to secure a victory in the tournament. Texas A&M bested them with a final score of 98-83, thus rendering NU’s tournament record at 0-8.

Conversely, the Husker women’s basketball team had an opportunity for vindication later in the evening as they confronted Texas A&M. A triumph would pave the way for the Husker women to progress to face either Oregon State or Eastern Washington on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in a separate game on Thursday afternoon, Creighton’s men’s basketball team emerged triumphant with a 77-60 victory over Akron. They now have their sights set on the Sweet 16 and will be vying for the opportunity to advance on Saturday at 8:40 p.m. Central against Oregon.

The Creighton women’s basketball team also had an upcoming game scheduled to compete against UNLV at 6 p.m. Central on Saturday.
