The 2024 OBSERVER/Post-Journal Girls Basketball First-Team All-Stars exhibit the remarkable talent and prowess of these young athletes. Let us delve into the impressive accomplishments of these emerging stars on the basketball court.

First and foremost, Reece Beaver from Southwestern has been bestowed with the title of CCAA Division 1 West Player of the Year due to her outstanding performance. Her exceptional statistics include averaging 27.1 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 steals, and 2.7 rebounds per game. Reece not only led the Trojans to victory in the Section VI Class B1 and crossover titles but also played a crucial role in securing the program’s first-ever Far West Regional title. As a senior, Reece has undeniably made a lasting impact on the basketball court.

Following suit, Tanleigh Bestine from Westfield has been recognised as a CCAA Division 2 West First-Team All-Star. Tanleigh’s impressive statistics speak for themselves, with an average of 24.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 blocked shots per game. Despite the Wolverines finishing 14-8 and losing in the Section VI Class C quarterfinals, Tanleigh’s noteworthy contribution to the team has not gone unnoticed.

Turning our attention to Skylar Herington from Randolph, this talented freshman has been honoured as a CCAA Division 1 East First-Team All-Star. Skylar’s remarkable performance includes averaging 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 2.0 assists per game. Despite the Cardinals finishing 15-7 and losing in the Section VI Class C semifinals, Skylar’s potential and skill are undoubtedly something to watch out for in the coming seasons.

Alexys Neckers from Clymer has earned the prestigious title of CCAA Division 2 West Player of the Year. Her impressive statistics include averaging 23.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.8 steals, and 4.1 assists per game for the Pirates. Despite the team finishing 17-4 and losing in the Section VI Class D semifinals, Alexys’ talent and leadership on the court have undoubtedly made a significant impact.

Last but certainly not least, we have freshman Jadyn Trocki from Frewsburg, who has been named the CCAA Division 1 East Player of the Year. Jadyn’s exceptional performance includes averaging 19.8 points, 5.7 assists, 5.5 steals, and 3.4 rebounds per game. Her contributions were instrumental in the Bears winning a Section VI Class C title and securing the program’s first-ever Far West Regional title.
