Harvard Men’s Tennis Secures Big Wins in Weekend Doubleheader

Harvard University’s men’s tennis team achieved two decisive victories over Dartmouth and Tufts over the weekend, marking a strong start to their Ivy League campaign.

The No. 11 ranked Harvard squad began their weekend with a commanding 7-0 win over Dartmouth. Doubles play was smooth for the Crimson as Daniel Milavsky and Cooper Williams did not drop a single game, followed by David Lins and Alan Yim securing the point with a 6-2 victory at the No. 3 spot.

In singles action, Melchior Delloye and Masato Perera each secured quick victories, not dropping more than two games. The Crimson continued their winning streak, culminating in a flawless victory over Dartmouth with 10-point third set tiebreakers courtesy of Milavsky and Ronan Jachuck at the No. 2 and 3 spots.

In their second match of the day, the Crimson proved their might once more, defeating Tufts 6-0. They swept doubles play and emerged victorious in straight sets in singles action at the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 spots.

Daniel Milavsky and Cooper Williams registered their team-leading 20th win of the season. First-year players Williams and Rohan Murali also celebrated their first career Ivy wins, contributing to the team’s success.

With these impressive wins under their belt, Harvard’s men’s tennis now looks forward to their upcoming Ivy League clash against No. 66 ranked Yale, as they continue their pursuit for a third straight Ivy League championship.

The team showcased exceptional talent with standout performances from Melchior Delloye, Ronan Jachuck, David Lins, Daniel Milavsky, Valdemar Pape, Masato Perera, Alan Yim, Cooper Williams, and Rohan Murali, each playing an integral role in the Crimson’s dominant victories.
