Lucas Green, aged 10, and William Newhouse, aged 12, have recently achieved the Cadet Level 1 award in Balintawak/B3, making them the youngest individuals in the UK and Europe to do so. They attained this impressive feat under the guidance of Sensei Steven Baker at the Satori Ryu Martial Arts Association in Burnley.
Both Lucas and William have been actively involved in martial arts for several years, refining their skills at the Burnley Martial Arts Academy. However, it was only six months ago that they chose to train at the Balintawak Centre of Excellence, committing themselves to rigorous sessions every Monday evening.
Their dedication and hard work paid off during a challenging grading on Monday, 15th April 2024. Despite their young age, both young men demonstrated exceptional skills and knowledge, leaving a lasting impression on their instructors and fellow practitioners.
