The University of Denver men’s tennis team has once again emerged victorious, securing a 4-1 win over North Dakota in the Summit League semifinals on Friday. This achievement marks the team’s fifth consecutive appearance in the final match and maintains their unbeaten season.
To begin, the team demonstrated their strength in the doubles category by claiming their 14th consecutive doubles point. Graduate student Marvin Schaber and junior Daniel Sancho Arbizu secured a 6-2 victory on the No. 2 court, while senior Nicolas Herrero Cuesta and junior Rikuto Yamaguchi sealed the deal with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Despite an early disadvantage, the No. 3 team made a resilient comeback, leveling the score at 4-4 before the match was concluded.
