A Fun and Successful Open Day at Hexham Tennis Club

Last month, Hexham Tennis Club hosted a highly successful open day event, attracting an impressive 100 visitors and acquiring several new members in the process.

Despite the somewhat uncertain weather, the rain held off on Saturday, April 20, allowing everyone to fully engage in and experience the game of tennis. Visitors were given the opportunity to engage in friendly matches with regular members or participate in the activities coordinated by coach Tom and member Isobel.

Caroline Armstrong, the ladies’ captain, expressed her delight at witnessing numerous new children trying out tennis for the first time. She was genuinely pleased to see them discovering a new sport that will promote their physical fitness and overall well-being. To ensure sustained energy and hydration, members generously supplied ample refreshments, enabling everyone to continue enjoying the game on the courts.

For those who may have missed the Open Day but are interested in trying out tennis or reigniting their passion for the sport, they are encouraged to visit www.hexhamtennisclub.co.uk or contact Caroline at 07967 156233 for further information.

Regarding membership options, the club offers a variety of packages including £48 per year for 8 to 18-year-olds, £75 for 18 to 25-year-olds, and £180 for those over 25. Adult memberships can be paid over three months, offering flexibility for potential members.
