Professional Golf Legend Tiger Woods Launches Sun Day Red Clothing Line
Renowned golfer Tiger Woods has officially introduced his highly-anticipated clothing collection, Sun Day Red, now available for purchase. At the age of 48, the golf icon made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York to promote the line, which went on sale at midnight ET on the brand’s website.
The line encompasses a variety of attire, including polo shirts ranging from $120 to $170, hoodies priced at $200, shorts available for $130, full-length pants for $165, and hats ranging from $40 to $50. In addition, on-course accessories such as gloves and towels are also part of the collection, along with limited edition ball markers priced at $50. The chosen name, Sun Day Red, pays homage to Woods’ iconic red ensembles traditionally worn on the final day of tournaments.
While elaborating on the significance of the name, Woods disclosed that the tradition was inspired by his mother, who regarded red as his power color. He stated, “The red story is actually a good one. It comes from my mom. My mom thought, me being a Capricorn, it was my power color or something like that. I ended up wearing red, and I won some junior golf tournaments. Then, to spite her, I wore blue, and did not win those tournaments. Mom is always right.”
Woods initially announced his collaboration with TaylorMade for the clothing line in February and was later observed donning the Sun Day Red line during his return to the PGA Tour at the Genesis Invitational. Notably, the brand’s logo, featuring a tiger emblem adorned with 15 stripes, symbolizes each major tournament victory achieved by Woods.
An interesting observation is that despite Woods famously sporting a red polo during the final round of The Masters this year, the Sun Day Red launch did not include any red polos in its range on the website. Irrespective of the absence of the red polo, fans of the esteemed golf legend eagerly anticipate acquiring the new merchandise, marking an exciting new chapter in Woods’ illustrious career.
