Galbraith Highlands Tennis Leagues Kick Off Season with a Bang

The eagerly awaited Galbraith Highlands tennis league has commenced its new season, bringing together tennis enthusiasts of all age groups. Numerous matches were played across different divisions, including men’s, women’s, mixed, and youth, at Moray clubs.

Taking a closer look at the results from the opening day of the league, in Division 1 of the women’s category, Kingussie emerged victorious against Elgin B with a score of 4-2. R&A A secured an impressive 8-0 win against Nairn, while Inverness B and Elgin B ended in a draw with a score of 3-3.

In Division 2, Bellfield Park A achieved a 6-3 win against Inverness B, Rothes A outclassed Elgin C with a score of 8-1, and Grantown A triumphed over R&A B with a score of 8-0.

Moving on to Division 3, Bellfield Park B and Grantown B ended in a draw with a score of 3-3, Forres A dominated Tain with an 8-0 win, and Forres B secured a victory against Nairn B with a score of 6-3.

Lastly, in Division 4, Gordonstoun and Aberlour ended in a draw with a score of 5-5, Gordonstoun won against Rothes with a score of 6-3, and R&A C dominated Rothes B with a score of 8-0.

In the men’s Division 1, Bellfield Park A emerged victorious against Elgin B with a score of 8-0. Grantown secured a 6-2 win against Elgin A, and Rothes A and Inverness A ended in a draw with a score of 5-5.

In Division 2, Forres A and Bellfield Park B drew with a score of 4-4, while Inverness B and Kingussie also ended in a draw with a score of 4-4.

Division 3 saw Bellfield Park C dominate Gordonstoun with an 8-0 win, and Rothes B emerged victorious against Gordonstoun with a score of 6-2.

In the mixed Division 1, Elgin A secured an impressive 8-0 win against Inverness A, and Grantown A achieved a 7-3 triumph over Rothes A.

Moving on to Division 2, Elgin B secured a 7-2 win against R&A B, Inverness B faced defeat at the hands of Forres A with a score of 2-7, and Nairn B emerged victorious against Elgin C with a score of 6-2.

In the 14s category, Gordonstoun B secured a win against Elgin B with a score of 8-5, Grantown achieved a 6-2 win against Elgin B, and Rothes emerged victorious against Tain with a score of 11-2.

The 10s category saw Elgin facing a tough opponent in Tain, eventually falling short with a score of 3-10, while Bellfield Park emerged victorious against Rothes with a score of 12-0.

In the 8s category, Elgin faced off against Rothes A and emerged victorious with a score of 8-5, while Lossiemouth secured a win against Rothes B with a score of 10-6.
