Despite initially losing the first set to Maryville’s Ephraim Dee, Jacob rallied and emerged victorious in the following two sets, securing his position in the next round of the TSSAA’s District 4-AA “Individual” Tournament.
The upcoming second round matches are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Oak Ridge’s Jackson Square Tennis Facility. The players from Oak Ridge High School delivered exceptional performances, with Jacob taking the lead. Accompanying him in the second round are the successful doubles team of Aaliyah Herron and Ellie Nash, as well as singles competitors Sydney Blanchard, Lily Shelton, and Billy Bennett.
