West Texas A&M University Welcomes Randi Harding for the 2024-25 Basketball Season

West Texas A&M is delighted to extend a warm welcome to Randi Harding, an accomplished guard from Butler Community College, as she joins their women’s basketball team for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Head coach Josh Prock has conveyed his excitement in adding Harding to the team, emphasizing her exceptional speed, agility, and formidable defensive prowess. He has also lauded her maturity and her capability to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the court.

During her tenure at Butler Community College, Harding showcased her talents in 62 games, with 48 starts, and an average of 8.3 points per game. She has also proven to be a versatile player, with 187 rebounds, 150 assists, 67 steals, and a blocked shot. Harding’s stellar performance has been instrumental in securing 49 wins for the Grizzlies over the course of two seasons, establishing her as a valuable asset to the team.

Prior to her collegiate career, Harding excelled in high school basketball at Mustang High School in Mustang, Oklahoma. She was inducted into the 1,000 point club and garnered OCA All-State accolades during her senior year. Her outstanding scoring and shooting abilities secured her a position on The Daily Oklahoman’s Big All-City First Team, where she maintained an average of 15.3 points per game with a 42.6% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Off the court, Harding’s exemplary leadership and commitment to academics have also been commended by her coaches. Both Coach Prock and Butler CC Head Coach Mike Helmer have praised her unwavering determination, strong work ethic, and positive influence on her teammates. Harding’s transition to West Texas A&M is anticipated to be mutually beneficial for her personal development and the team’s overall performance.
