Vital Energi Triumphs at BESA Scotland Golf Day

The recent Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) Scotland Golf Day experienced a remarkable turnout, with participation from over 70 members. The competition was fierce, and Vital Energi emerged as the victors, with their team of Stephen Traynor, Lee Duckworth, and Stephen Martin securing the top spot. Groupe Atlantic and Protech Heating claimed second and third place, respectively.

This exhilarating event took place at the Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa in Peebles and was expertly coordinated by the Association’s head of devolved nations, Iain McCaskey, and member engagement manager, Martina Stocker. Additionally, the Golf Day successfully raised an impressive £362 for Maggies Cancer Charity, underscoring the charitable aspect of the event.

Individual accolades were also presented, with Lee Currie from Mitsubishi MEP receiving the award for the longest drive. Furthermore, the closest to the pin honours were awarded to David Smith from ECG Facilities Services and Rob Vine of Applied Renewable Energy. Overall, the event provided an excellent opportunity for networking and relationship-building among BESA members, as emphasized by BESA’s immediate past president, Rab Fletcher.

Looking ahead, plans for the BESA Scotland Golf Day 2025 are already underway, scheduled for Friday, 25th April. Interested individuals can secure their participation in advance, while also exploring sponsorship opportunities for the event by reaching out for further details.
