The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to return to the Accor Arena in Paris on 28th September, marking the third occasion that the MMA promotion will have held an event in the city of lights. This return follows the legalization of mixed martial arts (MMA) in France just two years ago, with the UFC initially making its debut in the country in 2022.
This significant event will be the promotion’s second European showcase of 2024, with UFC 304 having taken place at Co-op Live in Manchester on 27th July. Despite the forthcoming excitement, no specific fights have been announced thus far.
UFC President and CEO Dana White expressed his enthusiasm for the return to Paris, stating, “We are returning to Paris for the third consecutive year. This is another one of those destinations that I would have to advise fans if you’ve never been to a fight in Paris, you should probably order your tickets now. See you there in September!”
During the previous UFC event in Paris, French heavyweight Ciryl Gane took the spotlight as he headlined the bout and ultimately emerged victorious by stopping Serghei Spivac in the second round.
With MMA gaining momentum and UFC events generating worldwide interest, the return to Paris is highly anticipated and expected to draw fans from near and far. As the sporting world eagerly awaits the announcement of the fight card, the excitement in the air is palpable.
Further updates on this historic event will be provided as they become available.
