The accolades for the 2023/24 Regular Season have been officially unveiled, celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of standout players in the MVP, All-Conference 1st and 2nd teams, Most Improved Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, U17 Player of the Year and Coach of the Year categories.

In the North conference, Erin Powell was unanimously selected as the MVP, showcasing her exceptional prowess on the court. Leading Charnwood College Riders to an impeccable 9-0 record, Powell topped the league’s efficiency charts with an impressive 24.8PPG, in addition to multiple Player of the Week accolades, 6.1APG, 11.1RPG and 1.4BPG.
Liv Forster of Copleston secured the South MVP title, demonstrating her skill as a talented shooter and contributing significantly to her team’s offensive success. Averaging 15.0PPG and 6.1APG, Forster played a pivotal role in Copleston’s impressive performance throughout the season.
Nick Moodey of Charnwood College Riders was awarded the North Coach of the Year, leading his team to a flawless season with a remarkable +247 point differential across their games. Similarly, Copleston’s head coach, Nick Drane, received his inaugural Coach of the Year accolade, recognizing his exceptional leadership and the consistent success of the programme.
The All-Conference 1st and 2nd teams showcased exceptional individuals who made a significant impact on the court. Players such as Nottingham’s Samantha Mullock and Valerie Cassidy De Falco, Manchester’s Elizandra Costa, and Charnwood’s Louise Fisher were among those recognized for their outstanding performances during the season.
Defensive Player of the Year honours were awarded to Manchester’s Alexandra Hernandez in the North and Copleston’s Christabel Osarobo in the South. Both players made pivotal contributions to their teams’ defensive strategies and were rightfully commended for their exceptional efforts.
Sara Blake-Smith of Manchester and Yazmin Edwards of Copleston were acknowledged as the Most Improved Players, highlighting their growth and development over the course of the season. Their noteworthy progress was duly recognized with the well-deserved accolades they received.
Finally, the U17 Player of the Year award was presented to Nottingham’s Samantha Mullock and CoLA’s Adaora Dioramma, acknowledging their exceptional performances and recognizing their potential as emerging stars in the league.
