Hailing from Guangzhou, China, Xu embarked on a transformative journey to San Francisco at the age of 18, armed with only a tennis racket and a dream. Adapting to a new country, language, and culture proved to be a formidable challenge, yet Xu faced it with grace and determination. Embracing a spirit of independence, she pursued her studies in data science and statistics at City College while concurrently excelling on the tennis court.
Under the mentorship of her coach, Mary Graber, Xu’s commitment and diligence shone through in every practice and match.
