Coach Emanuel Dildy of Duke University’s men’s basketball team has been selected to attend the esteemed TopConnect Basketball Symposium in 2024. The symposium, held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, aims to convene exceptional assistant basketball coaches from across the nation and connect them with Athletics Directors.
Now in its seventh year, the symposium provides educational sessions and networking opportunities for top assistant coaches. This year, distinguished individuals such as Kristi Dosh of College Sports Solutions and Dan Poneman of Poneman & Naiditch Representation will serve as speakers at the event.
The agenda includes panel discussions on various topics, such as the challenges encountered by new head coaches, the evolving landscape of college athletics, and the role of Athletic Directors. Additionally, breakout sessions will cover areas including leadership, name, image, and likeness (NIL) regulations, and team dynamics.
Prior to joining Duke, Dildy held coaching positions at multiple institutions, including Oklahoma, Northwestern, Valparaiso, and Loyola Chicago. Renowned for his exceptional recruiting skills, Dildy has had a significant impact on every program he has been a part of.
Dildy’s personal basketball journey began as a player at New Mexico State and later at Eastern Illinois, where he received acclaim for his performance. Following his college career, he played professionally in Germany and the United States before transitioning to coaching.
