Hockey India has recently announced the 27-member core probable group for the Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp, which is scheduled to commence on 21st June and conclude on 8th July at the SAI Centre in Bengaluru. This coaching camp is of utmost importance as the Indian Team prepares for the highly anticipated Paris 2024 Olympics.
Enthusiastic followers of the Indian men’s hockey team will be pleased to learn that the team has been placed in Pool B alongside strong opponents such as Belgium, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and Ireland. The team is set to begin their Olympic campaign against New Zealand on 27th July, a much-anticipated event.
Following a successful performance in the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24, where they currently hold the fourth position after securing 24 points from 16 matches, the team is back in camp, brimming with determination and zeal.
The 27-member core group for the National Coaching Camp features an impressive lineup, including renowned goalkeepers Krishan Bahadur Pathak, PR Sreejesh, and Suraj Karkera, alongside defensive stalwarts Harmanpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, and Amir Ali.
The midfielders called up to the camp feature stellar names such as Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Sumit, Shamsher Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Rajkumar Pal, Vishnukant Singh, Akashdeep Singh, and Mohammed Raheel Mouseen.
