Exciting News for Rugby Fans as 2024/25 Energia All-Ireland League Fixtures Unveiled

Dear Rugby Enthusiasts,

We are pleased to announce the unveiling of the fixtures for the highly-anticipated 2024/25 Energia All-Ireland League. The Men’s Divisions will commence on Friday, 20th September, with the Women’s Division following on Saturday, 28th September.

The season will kick off with an exciting matchup between Cork Constitution, the reigning Energia AIL Men’s Champions, and Terenure, in a repeat of last season’s final. Garryowen will return to the top flight with a home game against Lansdowne in Division 1A.

The Women’s Division will see U.L Bohemian start their title defence away to Blackrock College at Stradbrook, while newly promoted Tullow will play their first game at home against Wicklow in the Energia All-Ireland League.

The action continues with Nenagh Ormond starting their Division 1B journey at home against Dublin University, and newly promoted Instonians and Galway Corinthians taking on Buccaneers and Ballymena, respectively, in Division 2A. Meanwhile, Clogher Valley will face Malone in Division 2B, and newly promoted Ballyclare, along with Energia All-Ireland Junior Cup champions, will begin their campaign away to Tullamore in Division 2C.

On Saturday 26th October, the eagerly awaited Energia All-Ireland Men’s Junior Cup will commence, with the final set to take place on Saturday 25th January. Bective will be seeking redemption after last year’s defeat as they kick off against Mallow in the first round.

As for the Women’s Junior Cup, the draw will take place following the selection of representatives from the four provinces.

In addition to the action on the field, this season will feature two ‘No Rugby Weekends’ for both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions of the Energia AIL, allowing all involved in the game to take a much-needed break. The first ‘No Rugby Weekend’ will coincide with the men’s final Autumn Nations Series game against Australia on 30th November.

Kevin Beggs, the IRFU Competitions Manager, has expressed his satisfaction in finalizing the fixtures for all 60 participating teams well ahead of schedule. He emphasized the effort dedicated to accommodating club requests and ensuring the timely completion of fixtures.

With an array of exciting encounters ahead, rugby fans can anticipate a season full of top-notch talent and fierce competition in the Energia All-Ireland League. Prepare to witness the battle for coveted titles unfold before your eyes!

Yours sincerely,
