Stockport County recently hosted its annual golf day event at the Hazel Grove Golf Club, resulting in an impressive amount of over £10,000 being raised for the County Community Trust.
The event brought together former players and sponsors for a friendly competition on the golf course, with title-winners Sam Minihan, Jordan Keane, and Jamie Stott joining in on the fun. Following the golf tournament, a live Q&A session took place at the Golf Club, featuring Club President Steve Bellis and former players Mike Flynn and Paul Jones.
A hearty congratulations is due to Rainbow Restoration, the deserved winners of the day. The success of the event would not have been possible without the participation and contributions of all the sponsors involved.
A special recognition goes to MTX for generously sponsoring the event for the second consecutive year. Their support significantly contributed to making the event a memorable and impactful day for all participants.
The funds raised from the event will be directed towards the Community Trust’s free summer holiday provision programme, County Camps. This initiative plays a vital role in providing holiday activities and meals to families in Stockport who are most in need.
In conclusion, the annual golf day event organized by Stockport County has not only provided a platform for friendly competition and camaraderie but has also made a meaningful contribution to the community through the generous funds raised. The success of the event underscores the significance of collective support and collaboration in making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
