The upcoming International Tennis Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on July 20, 2024, at 6 p.m. ET will be broadcast live on Tennis Channel. This significant event is part of the Infosys Hall of Fame Open in Newport, R.I., and is a highlight of the six-week North American summer tennis season leading up to the US Open. Tennis Channel, together with its second network T2 and streaming service Tennis Channel+, will be the exclusive broadcasters of all eight tournaments.
Esteemed Tennis Channel commentator and host Brett Haber will preside as master of ceremonies for this year’s Hall of Fame program. The network will also present a special edition of Tennis Channel Live at 5 p.m. ET, providing in-depth coverage of the inductees. Former players and network analysts Chanda Rubin and Robbie Koenig will join host Steve Weissman for the coverage.
The 2024 International Tennis Hall of Fame class includes distinguished tennis figures such as eight-time Grand Slam doubles champion Leander Paes, player, broadcaster, and promoter Vijay Amritraj, and reporter, author, and tennis historian Richard Evans.
As part of the “Summer in the Cities” programming, Tennis Channel intends to showcase more than 340 hours of live matches and 365 hours of encore replays. Additionally, Tennis Channel+ will offer on-demand matches once they have concluded. The North American tournaments included in the coverage are the Infosys Hall of Fame Open (Newport), Atlanta Open (Atlanta), Mubadala Citi DC Open (Washington), National Bank Open presented by Rogers (Montreal/Toronto), Cincinnati Open (Cincinnati), Tennis in the Land (Cleveland), Winston-Salem Open (Winston-Salem, N.C.), and Abierto GNP Seguros 2024 (Monterrey, Mexico).
The men’s competitions will take place in Newport, Atlanta, Montreal, and Winston-Salem, while women’s events will be held in Toronto, Cleveland, and Monterrey. Washington and Cincinnati will host combined men’s and women’s tournaments.
