Exciting New Talent Joins Monmouth University Field Hockey Team

Monmouth University is pleased to announce the addition of a new group of talented recruits to the Field Hockey team. The 2024 recruiting class, unveiled by Head Coach Carli Figlio, comprises seven promising freshmen from both the United States and abroad. Let us delve deeper into the profiles of these new team members.

Firstly, hailing from Palmyra, Pennsylvania, is Keely Bowers. With an impressive record of 43 goals and 35 assists at Palmyra High School, Bowers has garnered numerous accolades, including Mid Penn Conference Keystone Division First Team All-Star and NFHCA Third Team All-American. Additionally, she has demonstrated academic excellence and aspires to major in nursing at Monmouth University.

From Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, comes Charlie Bowman, a standout goalkeeper with experience playing for the Ireland U16 and U18 Teams. Bowman is known for her prowess in various sports and is joining Monmouth University with an undecided major.

Claire Campen, from Hawley, Pennsylvania, boasts the title of Honesdale High School’s all-time leading scorer with 78 goals and 44 assists. Campen has also been recognized on the Max Field Hockey Top 100 Class of 2024 Watch List and is a member of the National Honor Society. She intends to major in elementary education at Monmouth University.

Milla Frye brings her international talent to the team from Ratingen, Germany, with experience playing for HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim and competing in the 1. Bundesliga Germany league. With a strong background in field hockey and tennis, she is set to major in business administration at Monmouth University.

Stella Goddard-Despot, from North Vancouver, Canada, has achieved numerous championships and accolades in her field hockey career and is a member of the Canadian National Team. She aspires to major in marketing and political science at Monmouth University.

Lilly Ricks, from Munich, Germany, has displayed her skills as a forward for both Oskar von Miller Gymnasium and Akademischer Sportverein München. She has chosen to pursue a major in business administration at Monmouth University.

Lastly, Abigail Travers, from Clifton, Virginia, is a four-year letterwinner at Centreville High School and has excelled in lacrosse as well. With aspirations of majoring in business with a concentration in real estate, she brings a wealth of experience to the team.
