Eastern Washington University Athletics is delighted to announce the release of the full schedule for the Eagles’ 2024-25 season under the guidance of the newly appointed head coach, Dan Monson. The schedule includes 14 home games, with the Big Sky officially revealing the conference schedule for all affiliated members earlier today.
The regular season will commence with a road test against Colorado on Nov. 4, followed by the home opener against Seattle on Nov. 6. The non-conference schedule will feature a highly-anticipated showdown against Washington State on Nov. 21 at the Spokane Arena, with the Eagles facing their former head coach David Riley, who departed for the Cougars in March.
Furthermore, the Eagles will play four additional games at Reese Court in non-conference, including matchups against Cal Poly (Nov. 17), North Dakota (Dec. 4), Lincoln (Dec. 21), and Eastern Oregon (Dec. 30). On the road, the team will face off against power-5 opponents Missouri, Utah, and Washington, as well as Cal Baptist, UC Santa Barbara, and South Dakota State.
Moving on to the Big Sky schedule, the team will commence with games against Montana and Montana State at Reese Court on Jan. 2 and Jan. 4, respectively, and will play a total of nine conference home games for the ’24-’25 season.
A highlight of the ’24-’25 conference slate will be the double-header against Idaho, including the women’s basketball team. The first double-header will be in Moscow on Jan. 18, with the second hosted in Cheney on Feb. 15. The regular season will conclude on March 1 against Idaho State.
Eastern Washington’s success in claiming its second-consecutive Big Sky regular season championship last season has set high expectations for the upcoming season. The team roster for the new season is a blend of familiar faces and fresh talent, with a combination of six returning players and eight newcomers joining the team.
