Pulteney Bridge adorned in red for Bath Rugby celebration

Bath Rugby is set to illuminate Pulteney Bridge in a vibrant red hue from Friday 8th December to mark the launch of their new European home shirt. This striking lighting display will envelop the bridge in a stunning scarlet glow, symbolizing the team’s upcoming European journey.

In a bid to generate excitement and garner support for the club’s upcoming Champions Cup match against Ulster on Saturday 9th December, Bath Rugby has enlisted the participation of the city’s historically significant landmarks and local businesses to join in the special occasion by adorning their premises in a sea of red.

David Ayres, the Marketing Director at Bath Rugby, expressed his profound excitement for the upcoming events and underscored the pivotal role that the city plays in the club’s success, stating, “It’s an exciting time to be a Bath Rugby fan, but this club is nothing without the city behind us. ‘Paint the Town Red’ is a chance for landmarks, businesses, and supporters to come together and celebrate this season’s European adventure whilst showing the players they have our backing when they cross the white line in round one against Ulster.”

In addition to illuminating Pulteney Bridge, Bath Rugby aims to collaborate with its partners to introduce a series of exclusive offers and discounts as part of the ‘Paint the Town Red’ campaign. These special deals are intended to cultivate a heightened sense of anticipation, leading up to the potential trip to the final in London next May for the Blue, Black and White army.

Furthermore, the ‘Paint the Town Red’ initiative will see Bath Rugby’s partners and sponsors extending special discounts throughout the Champions Cup campaign for all Bath Rugby Investec Champions Cup ticket holders. These offers include lucrative discounts at several establishments such as Loake Shoemakers, Ludo Sports Bar and Kitchen, the Official Bath Rugby store, Heavenly Desserts, Tapas Revolution, Thatchers, and Vinalba.

In addition to these offerings, there will be an ‘Official After Party’ at Walcot House on the day of the match, as well as an opportunity for fans to win a Rolex with Watches of Bath, supporting the Bath Rugby Foundation.

The highly anticipated Bath Rugby’s Investec Champions Cup Round One fixture against Ulster is scheduled for 3.15pm on Saturday 9th December, with tickets currently available for purchase.

The event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, filled with camaraderie, fervent support, and a plethora of celebratory offers and activities, casting Pulteney Bridge and the surrounding city in a brilliant crimson radiance to honour the club’s European pursuits.
