The Female Football Education Programme (FFEP) at AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust, in partnership with Brockenhurst College, has achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the AOC National Championships. This achievement follows an exceptional performance at the regional event held at Surrey Sports Park, where 16 colleges competed for the opportunity to represent the region at the main event in April at Nottingham University.
The AFC Bournemouth team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, emerging as the group stage winners without facing a single defeat. Their place in the semi-finals saw them compete against Farnborough College, and despite challenging weather conditions, the team secured a 2-0 victory to advance to the final against Barton Peveril.

The team’s goalkeeper, Lily Harris, made a superb save, providing the Cherries with a critical advantage. Darcey Maxted, who plays for both the Brock College FFEP team and the club’s development squad, delivered an exceptional performance throughout the tournament, scoring an impressive eight goals.
