Badgers Women’s Hockey Stays Undefeated with Sweep Against Bemidji State

The Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey team, ranked number one, continued their unbeaten streak with back-to-back wins against the Bemidji State Beavers. The victories add to the team’s impressive start to the season and showcase their championship potential. Although the games on Friday and Saturday had different outcomes, both showcased the Badgers’ determination and skill. In Friday’s game, Bemidji’s strong defensive strategy slowed down Wisconsin’s high-scoring offense, resulting in a scoreless tie after the second period. However, the Badgers managed to break the deadlock in the third period and secured a hard-fought 4-0 win. Despite the victory, fans were concerned about Caroline Harvey’s injury. Saturday’s game was a different story, with the Badgers taking an early lead just 42 seconds into the game. The first period was highly competitive, but the Badgers regained control and dominated the rest of the game. They scored five goals in the second period, ultimately winning 8-1. The series against Bemidji State concluded a successful six-game homestand for the Badgers, who outscored their opponents 44-6. The team now faces a challenging stretch of away games against tough conference rivals St. Cloud State and Ohio State.
