Quinnipiac Men’s Tennis Faces Tough Loss to St. John’s in Spring Opener

The Quinnipiac men’s tennis team endured a challenging beginning to their spring season, experiencing a 7-0 defeat at the hands of St. John’s at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York. In the doubles match, Shaurya Sood and Daniel Velek secured a victory, but unfortunately, it was insufficient to secure the doubles point.

During the singles matches, Velek was the sole Bobcat to claim a set from St. John’s. Despite his valiant effort, he ultimately fell short against his opponent. The remainder of the team also encountered formidable competition, with each player unable to secure a win in their respective matches.

The upcoming fixture for the Bobcats is their first home match of the season, scheduled to take place at North Haven Health & Racquet as they face Hofstra on January 27th at 6:00 PM. The team is resolute in their determination to rebound from their recent loss and demonstrate their skills on their home court.
