Jon Rahm and Legion XIII at LIV Golf Las Vegas: A Closer Look at Their Performance

The LIV Golf Las Vegas event concluded with Legion XIII, led by Jon Rahm, finishing in fifth place this week, demonstrating a commendable performance by accumulating 16-under after three rounds. However, they fell behind Smash GC, who claimed victory by a margin of 17 strokes over 4Aces GC.

Legion XIII, the newest addition to the LIV Golf Circuit, consists of Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Kieran Vincent, and Caleb Surratt. Despite their impressive debut at LIV Golf Mayakoba last week, securing a win in their first appearance, the team was unable to replicate their initial success at LIV Golf Las Vegas, resulting in a lower placement in the standings.

Despite the team’s overall performance, Jon Rahm once again exhibited his exceptional individual skills by finishing eighth at 8-under. He was in contention for the title ahead of the third round but ultimately fell 4 strokes back of the winner, Dustin Johnson.

Following his victory, Dustin Johnson expressed the pressure he felt throughout the tournament and the challenging conditions he faced while playing alongside top competitors. His win in the individual segment earned him $4 million in prize money, while Brooks Koepka-led Smash GC secured the team victory and earned $1.5 million.

Among Jon Rahm’s teammates, Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt finished T12 at 6-under, while Kieran Vincent ended up at T45 after shooting 4-over on Saturday.

The final leaderboard for the LIV Golf Las Vegas saw Smash GC at the top with a score of -33, followed by 4Aces GC at -26, RangeGoats GC at -24, Crushers GC at -18, Legion XIII at 16, Torque GC at -16, Majesticks GC at -12, Fireballs GC at 12, Cleeks GC at -9, Ripper GC at -9, Iron Heads GC at -3, Stinger GC at +5, and HyFlyers GC at +7.

In conclusion, despite Legion XIII’s fifth-place finish, their performance at LIV Golf Las Vegas showcases their potential and sets the stage for future success on the LIV Golf Circuit.
