In addition to their success on the ice, members of the team emphasized the significance of growing and supporting girls’ high school hockey in Alaska. The expansion of the state tournament to include seven teams, as well as the financial challenges faced by girls’ teams, underscore the dedication and resilience of the players and their commitment to the sport.
The recent victory by the Dimond/West girls’ high school hockey team not only solidifies their status as the reigning champions but also highlights the determination and unity of the team.
