Duluth Marshall’s very own Ilsa Lindaman has garnered attention in the hockey community after being named one of the 10 semifinalists for the 2024 Let’s Play Hockey Ms. Hockey Award.
Lindaman, a forward for the Hilltoppers and a committed player for St. Thomas, has showcased exceptional performance this season, securing her position as the second leading goal scorer in the state. Her 57 goals and 86 points are both school records and have been instrumental in Marshall’s 22-3-1 record, leading them to the top seed in the Section 7A tournament.
Apart from her Ms. Hockey semifinalist selection, Lindaman is also one of the six finalists for the Youth Hockey Hub’s Girls Hockey Player of the Year. Her talent and dedication are evident, solidifying her position as a driving force for the Hilltoppers.
Competition intensifies for Lindaman and her team as they prepare to face the three-time defending champion Proctor/Hermantown in the section title game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the St. Luke’s Sports and Event Center in Proctor. All eyes will be on Lindaman as she aims to lead her team to victory and secure their spot in the state tournament.
The sporting prowess in Duluth extends beyond hockey, with recent exciting developments in boys’ and girls’ basketball. Brennan Meyer and Ty Nyberg of Duluth East delivered an impressive performance against Centennial, but despite their efforts, Centennial emerged victorious with a final score of 67-64.
In Two Harbors, Isaiah Hietala showcased his skills on the court, leading his team to a 66-42 home win, while Rachel Bopp led Two Harbors to a solid 57-40 win over Duluth Denfeld, scoring 20 points.
