Presbyterian College Loses Home Game to Longwood Lancers

The Presbyterian Blue Hose recently experienced a defeat at their home court, the Templeton Center, at the hands of the Longwood Lancers, with the final score standing at 81-73. Marquis Barnett led the Blue Hose with an impressive 22 points, as well as providing five assists and three steals. Following him, Kobe Stewart contributed 12 points, and Samage Teel added 10 points off the bench. Trevon Reddish-Rhone also made his presence felt with nine points and seven rebounds.

The game began well for the Blue Hose, with Stewart and Barnett securing the first four points. However, Longwood quickly gained momentum and went on a 10-0 run to take a 10-4 lead. The first half continued with both teams exchanging baskets, leading to a halftime score of 33-29 in favor of the Lancers. In the second half, the Blue Hose fought hard to take control, at one point leading 38-36 after Reddish-Rhone completed a three-point play. However, Longwood remained resilient and ultimately secured the victory, ending the game with a lead of 81-73.

Notable performances from Barnett, Stewart, and Teel further showcased the competitive spirit of the Blue Hose, with Barnett achieving his eighth 20-point game of the season, Stewart achieving his tenth double-figure scoring game, and Teel notching his 21st double-figure scoring game of the season. Additionally, Presbyterian displayed prowess in the paint, accumulating 36 points in this area.
