Fourth-quarter domination leads women’s basketball team to victory over Central Michigan

The women’s basketball team of Kent State University has encountered a challenging period as of late, particularly following their recent defeat to Old Dominion. The team has been hampered by injuries, resulting in various starting line-ups and three weeks without a full roster. However, they experienced a positive turn of events with a convincing 77-54 victory over Central Michigan.

Coach Todd Starkey expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly their defensive efforts following a bye week. The game witnessed a season-high of 46 points scored in the paint by the team and four players reaching double digits in scoring. Despite a slow start in the first quarter, the team managed to seize control of the game and maintain a commanding lead.

Kent State’s defensive prowess played a pivotal role in limiting Central Michigan’s scoring opportunities throughout the game.
