Haslemere Hockey Club’s under-16 boys achieved an impressive 3-2 victory in their recent match against Portsport, making a strong comeback after being down by two goals in the first half. The team’s performance notably improved in the second half, ultimately leading to their well-deserved win.

The game presented challenges as Portsport quickly took the lead with two consecutive goals, putting the home side ahead by 2-0. Despite Haslemere’s control of the game, a few errors allowed Portsport to gain the upper hand in the first half. However, the team regrouped during half-time, strategising and making crucial adjustments to their game plan.

The second half witnessed a remarkable shift in Haslemere’s performance as they dominated the game. This ultimately led to their success, with Otto Hartly, Tom Waller and Aubrey Bamber scoring the vital goals that secured their triumphant turnaround.

However, the ladies’ first team encountered a setback as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Havant. Despite this disappointing result, the ladies remain determined as they prepare to face Portsmouth in their next match, scheduled for today (Saturday).
