Rising Star: Jack Stark Earns Spot on ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team

Jack Stark, a freshman member of the Yale men’s hockey team, has been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team, according to an announcement made by the league on Monday, March 11.

In his inaugural season at Yale, Stark achieved a commendable 6-7-2 record in conference play for the Bulldogs. Over the course of 15 league contests, he made an impressive 400 saves, with a career best of 35 stops against Quinnipiac on January 26. The talented goaltender also achieved two shutouts against St. Lawrence on November 17 and Dartmouth on January 12. Stark concluded his rookie campaign with a remarkable .927 save percentage and a 1.93 goals-against average.

Notably, Stark closed the season ranked No. 11 in NCAA Division I in goals against average and save percentage. These impressive statistics demonstrate his exceptional skill and determination on the ice.

Hailing from Chaska, Minn., Stark has become the first Bulldog to receive All-Rookie honors since Joe Snively in 2015-16 and the first to earn all-league honors since Curtis Hall in 2019-20.

Jack Stark’s exceptional performance throughout the season has rightfully earned him a well-deserved spot on the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team.
