Arsenal’s Latest Update: Thomas Partey’s Injury, Arteta’s Real Madrid Trip, and Loan Confirmation

The international break has now commenced, and the players of Arsenal have either commenced on international duty or taken some time off to recharge. With no fixtures over the weekend due to FA Cup action, the Gunners will utilize this break to prepare for their upcoming Premier League match against Manchester City. Presently positioned at the top of the table, Mikel Arteta’s team aims to sustain their lead and achieve a successful season.

Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian midfielder of Arsenal, will not be joining his national team for their upcoming matches against Nigeria and Uganda. Partey is continuing his recovery from injury and has only played 41 minutes since August. The player has requested to remain at Arsenal’s training ground to concentrate on regaining full fitness. His availability for the upcoming match against City remains uncertain.

In the meantime, Mikel Arteta was recently observed in Spain, visiting the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium to witness a match between Real Madrid under-19s and Atletico Madrid counterparts. The Spanish coach took the chance to watch former Liverpool stars Fernando Torres and Alvaro Arbeloa, who were leading the teams. Arteta also engaged with supporters outside the stadium but chose not to address questions about potential transfers at the Madrid training complex.

In other news, Arsenal has confirmed a loan deal for goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo, the brother of current Gunners player Arthur. The 18-year-old will join Isthmian Premier League side Cheshunt on a work experience loan for the remainder of the season. Okonkwo will continue to train with Arsenal while gaining valuable experience at the non-league club. This move reflects Arsenal’s commitment to nurturing young talent within their academy.
