Jon Rahm’s Masters Banquet: A Taste of Spain

Jon Rahm, the current title holder of the green jacket, has recently revealed the menu for this year’s Masters champions dinner, which he will be hosting. The Spanish golfer, renowned for his Basque heritage, has drawn inspiration from his home country and curated a delightful menu that pays homage to his roots.

The menu comprises an exquisite selection of Spanish dishes, commencing with tapas that include Iberico ham, Mama Rahm’s Classic Lentil Stew, Spicy Basque chorizo and potato, Spanish omelette, and creamy chicken fritters. This will be followed by a ‘first course’ of Basque crab salad with potato, and a choice of either Basque ribeye steak with Tudelo lettuce and piquillo peppers or turbot and Navarra white asparagus as the main course. The meal will culminate with the indulgent Milhojas de Crema y Nata, a puff pastry cake with custard and Chantilly cream.

This gathering presents Rahm with the opportunity to reconnect with his fellow champions, including PGA Tour stars such as Scottie Scheffler, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, and Adam Scott. It will also serve as a chance for him to reunite with the iconic Tiger Woods, who is anticipated to make his second start of the season at Augusta. Rahm’s relationship with Woods has been strained since his move to LIV Golf, with Woods not acknowledging Rahm’s attempt to reach out after his decision to join the breakaway league.

Alongside Rahm, several other LIV Golf ambassadors who are former Masters champions will be present. This distinguished list includes Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, and Charl Schwartzel. Moreover, golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Nick Faldo will also elevate the event with their esteemed presence, further enhancing the stature of the occasion.

Jon Rahm’s champions dinner promises to be an elegant celebration of his Spanish heritage, and an occasion for the golfing community to come together for an evening of fellowship and sportsmanship. As anticipation mounts for the upcoming Masters, all eyes will be on Rahm to witness if he can add another iconic chapter to his esteemed career at Augusta National.
