Renowned Liverpool Tennis Event Secures Headline Sponsorship for 2024 – Exclusive Update!

The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament organisers have announced the successful partnership with Qube Residential, a prominent property management firm, as the headline sponsor for the upcoming event. In a report by Tony McDonough, this development reflects a significant milestone in the realms of sports and corporate hospitality.

Set to occur from June 13 to 15 at the Liverpool Cricket Club, the 21st edition of the tournament is expected to draw in not only passionate tennis enthusiasts but also a substantial contingent from the Liverpool corporate community. Originating in 2002 as a precursor to Wimbledon, the event has seen the participation of renowned tennis figures such as Martina Navratilova, Marion Bartoli, Ilie Nastase, Martina Hungis, and Pat Cash.

Northern Vision, the tournament organiser, has not only brought world-class tennis to Liverpool but has also introduced the sport to over 100,000 local juniors through various events including the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament and Liverpool Junior International Tennis Tournaments. Anders Borg, the managing director of Northern Vision Sporting Events, expressed his privilege at once again collaborating with Qube Residential as the headline partner for this prestigious event.

“We are honoured to bring this magnificent occasion back to Liverpool for the 21st year alongside Qube Residential as our headline partner once again,” stated Anders Borg. He further emphasised their commitment to making tennis accessible to all, encouraging participation from students, local businesses, and charities, and spotting the stars of the future.

Northern Vision is committed to utilising its community programmes to address issues such as poor physical health, mental health, and antisocial behaviour among young people. In recognition of the exemplary player satisfaction and tournament delivery, the junior tournament was honoured with a Tournament Recognition Award from the International Tennis Federation in February 2024.

Dave Seed, the managing director of Qube Residential, shared his excitement about continuing their partnership with the tournament. “Last year’s Liverpool International Tennis Tournament was fantastic to be part of and it was a privilege to support Anders and Northern Vision’s work as headline sponsor,” he remarked. He also commended the inspirational work that the event does for young people, expressing Qube Residential’s pride in associating their name with such a worthwhile cause.

In the lead-up to the tournament, mini tennis lessons will be offered in Liverpool city centre at prominent locations such as Williamson Square, Exchange Flags, Liverpool Town Hall, and Liverpool One. This initiative aims to further promote and engage the local community in the excitement and benefits of the sport.

With the return of Qube Residential as the headline sponsor, the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament is set to continue its legacy of bringing world-class tennis to Liverpool, engaging the community, and creating a platform for future tennis stars. It is indeed a testament to the enduring success and significance of this annual event.
