With an impressive 24-8 record in doubles matches this season, led by players like Martha Makantasi and Maretha Burger, the Texans are certainly a force to be reckoned with on the court. UTRGV’s top doubles pair, on the other hand, holds a 6-3 record, bringing them to 20-23 overall in doubles matches.

In singles, the Texans boast a 44-22 record across all matches. Players like Noelia Lorca with a 10-1 record and Martha Makantasi with a 9-2 record have been leading the charge. On the UTRGV side, Yaiza Vazquez leads the Vaqueros with an 11-5 record, including four straight wins.

Following Friday’s match, the Texans’ week will continue with another match at UT Arlington on Sunday at 11 a.m.
