Throughout the game, the Terriers managed to take a 1-0 lead in the first period and extended it to 2-0 with a power-play goal in the second period. Despite a valiant effort from the Black Bears, including a power-play goal by Lynden Breen in the third period, the Terriers swiftly responded with another power-play goal to maintain their lead. The game concluded with a final empty-net goal by the Terriers, solidifying their victory.
The University of Maine displayed a praiseworthy performance, leading with 33 shots on goal compared to Boston University’s 18. Despite their strong showing, the Black Bears were unable to secure a win. Goaltender Albin Boija made 14 saves during the game, bringing his overall record to 10-6-1 for the year.
