Makenna, who contributed to Wisconsin’s championship victory in 2021, transferred to Ohio State in 2022 to pursue field hockey in addition to ice hockey. Her decision paid off this season, as she and the Buckeyes secured a 1-0 victory over her former team, Wisconsin, in the title game.
