The highly anticipated 2024 Inter Services Rugby Championships are poised to commence in Plymouth in just one week’s time. Enthusiasts of rugby are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to witness whether the Navy men can successfully defend their title following their remarkable performance last year, culminating in victory at Twickenham. Meanwhile, on the women’s side, the Army aims to sustain their dominance after clinching wins over the Navy and the RAF in 2023.
On the 20th of April, an action-packed first match day will see the Navy hosting the RAF in both men’s and women’s matches. In their final Inter Service preparation match against the Rams, the RAF men’s team recently achieved a triumph, with Prescott securing four tries.
A notable change this year is the decision to schedule the Army v Navy event as the second fixture in the tournaments on the 4th of May at Twickenham Stadium. Subsequently, the final round of matches will witness the Army and the RAF competing for pride and glory at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester.
