The upcoming Northampton and District Rugby Alliance finals are set to take place at the cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Wednesday 24th April, promising an exhilarating evening of rugby. Rugby enthusiasts and supporters will have the opportunity to witness teams from the region compete for top honours at the home of the Northampton Saints.
The evening will commence with the Oceanic Cup for Under-18 boys at 6pm, with Olney and defending champions, Old Northamptontians, facing off in a highly anticipated showdown. Subsequently, the senior men’s Lewis Shield final will take place at 7.30pm, featuring Daventry and Olney vying for the title.
A unique rule for the Lewis Shield final ensures that players cannot participate in the competition again if they emerge victorious, promoting a sense of fairness and variety in the competition.
As a member of the Alliance, the Northampton Saints are eligible for the Padget, which is presented to the Club in the District with the best overall win percentage throughout the season.
Supporters and fans are invited to witness all the action live at the cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens. Admission for both matches is priced at £8 per adult, with free entry for under-16s. Payments are accepted via card only, and free car parking will be available at Car Park D (NN5 5JT) to ensure convenience for all attendees.
