The Men’s Tennis Team at the University of Hawai’i Hilo has cause for celebration, as three of its players have been honoured with positions on the 2024 All-PacWest Team. Ryo Minakata, Cian McDonnell, and Lamar Bartley were bestowed with this prestigious recognition at the Pacific West Conference Tennis Championships banquet, which took place on April 17 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Arizona.
Ryo Minakata, who exhibited an impressive 9-2 record in singles on Court 1, secured a position on the All-PacWest First Team. Meanwhile, Bartley and Minakata were recognised as an All-PacWest Second Team selection in doubles, achieving a 4-5 on Court 1. Cian McDonnell, who played on Court 2 and Court 3, was named to the All-PacWest Second Team in singles after posting an 8-3 record.
