Celebrating 2023-24 All-Main Line Girls Basketball Teams

The winter of this year has been noteworthy for the high school girls’ basketball scene along the Main Line. Notable teams included Academy of Notre Dame, Archbishop Carroll, Conestoga, Friends’ Central, Haverford High, Radnor, Sacred Heart and Villa Maria Academy, each demonstrating distinct strengths and skills on the court.

The selection of the All-Main Line high school girls’ basketball teams, chosen by coaches, reflects the area’s top talent. Main Line Media News, which covers 19 high schools, allocates limited spots for the first team, second team, and honorable mention. However, the primary consideration is given to the coaches’ selections.

The 2024 All-Main Line high school girls’ basketball teams are as follows:

FIRST TEAM
The first team showcases outstanding players such as Lizzie Halligan, a senior guard/forward from Academy of Notre Dame, who boasted an average of 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists. Riley Davis, a freshman guard from the same school, also made the first team with an impressive average of 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

In addition, Simone Harvey from Agnes Irwin stood out as a freshman guard, averaging over 15 points per game while facing off against tough defenders from opposing teams. Brooke Wilson, a senior guard from Archbishop Carroll, displayed a diverse skill set and was named the Catholic League MVP. Alexis Eberz, a sophomore guard from the same team, showcased her talent by averaging 13.8 points and 3.5 rebounds.

Other notable first team players include Ryann Jennings from Conestoga, Logan Greer and Nal’la Bennett from Friends’ Central, Rian Dotsey and Aniya Eberhart from Haverford High, Kate Gallagher from Radnor, Keara McCaffrey from Sacred Heart, Carly Catania and Sophia Tray from Villa Maria Academy.

SECOND TEAM
The second team includes Grace Nasr and Chloe Knox from Academy of Notre Dame, Felicity McFillin from Archbishop Carroll, Janie Preston from Conestoga, Natalie Magnotta from Episcopal Academy, Kaiya Rain Tucker and Saniyah Washington from Friends’ Central, Addison Levensten from Harriton, Natalie Wright from Haverford High, Alexa Braslow from Lower Merion, Nyah Yao and Blayse Jennings from Radnor, Megan Donahoe and Maya Walker from Sacred Heart, Rikai Williford from Shipley, and Emma O’Hare from Villa Maria Academy.

HONORABLE MENTION
