The men’s basketball team at the University of Washington is preparing for the 2024-25 season with the introduction of four new assistant coaches under the leadership of head coach Danny Sprinkle.
The addition of Andy Hill, Tony Bland, DeMarlo Slocum, and Jerry Hobbie to the coaching staff promises to bring a significant level of expertise to the Huskies. Coach Hill, recently promoted to Associate Head Coach at Utah State, is expected to reunite with Coach Sprinkle, offering his extensive coaching experience and successful track record, including four NCAA Tournament appearances with various programs. Former USC associate head coach Tony Bland is also set to join the Huskies, bringing a wealth of basketball knowledge and a strong commitment to player development.
DeMarlo Slocum, known for his exceptional recruiting and player development skills during his 11-year tenure at the University of Utah, is another valuable addition to the coaching staff. His expertise is anticipated to make a significant impact on the development of the Huskies’ players. Additionally, Jerry Hobbie, returning to the Huskies as an assistant coach, is set to contribute his extensive basketball knowledge and experience to the construction of a top-tier basketball program at the University of Washington.
