The Macalester College women’s tennis team has received prestigious recognition from the MIAC, with five of its players earning awards for their outstanding performances. Senior Sydney Ellison, sophomore Elizabeth Trevathan, senior Meg Ulrich, senior Amanye Reynolds, and sophomore Savannah Haugen have all been acknowledged for their exceptional talent and contributions to the team’s success throughout the season.
Sydney Ellison, from Birmingham, has been named to both the All-MIAC singles and doubles team, showcasing her remarkable skills with a notable record of 10-6 overall at No. 1 singles and 10-8 in doubles. Her instrumental role in securing a spot in the MIAC Playoffs this season has further demonstrated her exceptional talent on the court.
Elizabeth Trevathan, a sophomore from St. Paul, has led the Scots at singles this season with a stellar record of 13-5. Her outstanding performance at doubles, with an 11-7 record, has also been commendable, highlighting her capability to excel in both singles and doubles matches.
Meg Ulrich, from Carlisle, has proven to be a valuable asset to the team with her consistent and reliable performance throughout the season, earning her a well-deserved recognition from the All-MIAC committee.
Amanye Reynolds, a senior from St. Paul, has showcased her talent with an 8-10 record in singles and a 10-8 record in doubles, contributing significantly to the team’s advancement to the MIAC Playoffs.
Savannah Haugen, a sophomore from Bemidji, has established herself as a reliable and skilled player with her 9-8 record at doubles and her crucial victory at the MIAC Quarterfinals.
