The girls’ tennis team, with their impressive skills and determination, secured a victory over Notre Dame-Fairfield with a score of 5-2 on May 3rd. They continued to show their winning streak on May 6th, defeating New Milford 5-2 in another home match. However, their regular season concluded with a 5-2 loss to Masuk of Monroe on May 7th.
During the match against Notre Dame, Jamie Rowan and Katie Jarvis, who played as the No. 3 and No. 4 singles players, respectively, demonstrated remarkable prowess by winning 6-0, 6-0. Margaret Donovan and Ella Morits formed an impressive doubles team, winning their match with a score of 6-1, 6-0. Additionally, Rebecca Goldman and Caleigh Ward secured a victory with a score of 6-0, 6-1, as did Emma Lyddy and Maria Souza, who won by forfeit.
In the match against New Milford, Eren Weiss, playing as the No. 2 singles player, secured a victory with a score of 6-1, 6-1. Jamie Rowan and Katie Jarvis once again showcased their talent, winning their matches with scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-3, 7-6, respectively. The doubles teams also displayed outstanding performances, with Eli Musen and Ella Morits winning 6-4, 7-5, and Emma Lyddy and Maria Souza achieving a perfect score of 6-0, 6-0 in their match.
