The Boston University women’s ice hockey team has announced its game schedule for the 2024-25 season. This season marks the 20th varsity season for the Terriers, who will begin playing at Agganis Arena before moving to the renovated Walter Brown Arena in January.
The season will kick off with eight games at Agganis, beginning with the season opener against Merrimack on Oct. 1. Following this, the Terriers will travel to the Twin Cities to face Minnesota on Oct. 4 & 6.
In an exciting development, five of the other seven Agganis games will serve as the openers of doubleheaders with the men’s program. Notable dates include Oct. 12 vs. Northeastern, Oct. 18 & 19 vs. Maine, Nov. 1 vs. Providence, and Nov. 8 vs. Merrimack.
The anticipation will be high as the Terriers return to Walter Brown Arena in January. The team will host the semifinals of the 46th Dunkin’ Women’s Beanpot on Jan. 14, facing Harvard in the semifinals. The championship round is scheduled for Jan. 21.
For non-conference action, BU will take on Syracuse on Oct. 25-26 and conclude their Agganis stay with a contest against Princeton on Thanksgiving Eve (Nov. 27).
The highly-anticipated matchups with archrival Boston College are scheduled for Nov. 15 at Agganis and Jan. 31 at Walter Brown Arena.
14 of BU’s 27 Hockey East contests will take place at home. Fans can look forward to home games against Holy Cross (Jan. 25), Vermont (Feb. 1), UConn (Feb. 7 & 22), Providence (Feb. 8), and New Hampshire (Feb. 15) at Walter Brown Arena. The final UConn game will be Senior Day and the regular-season finale.
The Hockey East tournament will start on Feb. 26 and will feature all 10 teams.
To secure their spot at the games, fans can purchase season tickets online, with individual game tickets set to go on sale at a later date. Discounted season ticket packages for faculty, staff, and young alumni are available for purchase through the ticket office.
All five doubleheaders at Agganis will begin at 3 p.m., and other game times will be announced later. Additionally, all home and Hockey East games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ for those unable to attend in person.
