New Football Club Welcomes Players from SEND Community

There’s a new youth football team that recently had their first tournament as a fully affiliated club. Bee Unique FC Pan Disability Football Team is open to everyone in the SEND community and they train weekly. The U8s played their first match against Whitehaven and Carlisle Revivers. Even though they didn’t win, the kids had a blast and ended the game with big smiles on their faces. The U13s also played against Carlisle Revivers and unfortunately didn’t win, but they did come out on top against Workington Diamonds. Football training sessions are held every Wednesday at Copeland Stadium until November 8, when they will move indoors to the hall at Mayfield School Hall. All abilities are welcome to join and it’s completely free. If you want to come along, build your confidence, and have some fun, just book your spot. The sessions are run by volunteers who dedicate their free time to make Bee Unique FC possible. The first match was fantastic and it was great to see everyone having a good time. The training sessions are designed to suit all abilities and are held in a supportive and flexible environment, which is especially important for SEND families. To book your spot, visit the website.
